body positional fit
Our dynamic fitting system will achieve the most comfortable and efficient riding position which will increase power whilst reducing the chances of bike related injuries.
Body positional fit
cleats - rotational adjustment
Poor cleat position, specifically incorrect rotational placement is the leading cause cycling related knee issues. The sweet spot placement allows the foot to freely move throughout the whole pedal stroke without restriction of the pedal tension system.
cleats - fore/aft adjustment
Poor Fore/Aft cleat positioning can cause foot 'hot spots' and is main cause of cold /numb toes
saddle height adjustment
Common issues resulting from an inappropriate saddle height can include knee pain, saddle discomfort (pressure, numbness, sores), hip pain/impingement, hamstrings tendinopathy, achilles issues, back pain, neck pain, and hand and wrist pain/numbness. However, you don’t necessarily need to have pain or injury for then saddle height not to be optimal! An inappropriate saddle height can also result in a reduced power and efficiency.
saddle fore/aft adjustment
Saddle fore/aft is used to set optimal rider weight distribution and is the main adjustment affecting weight distribution on the bike and how much upper body work is needed to stabilise the body under load.
saddle tilt adjustment
The aim is to find the comfortable sweet spot, where the pelvis is stable and supported, you have sufficient pelvic rotation forward, perineum pressure is minimised, and the hands are not overloaded
handlebar rotation
Extreme rotation of dropped handlebars can cause bike instability, excessive wrist/elbow angles, which can cause excessive triceps fatigue and/or numbness to wrist and hands and even tightness in neck and shoulders
*handlebar size/shape recommendation
Based on intended bike use and rider proportions we can make recommendations on a more suitable bar width or type.
stem height adjustment
Sub optimal stem length or height can effect rider weight distribution
stem size/angle recommendation
Based on intended bike use and rider proportions we can make recommendations on a more suitable stem length and angle.
brake lever adjustments
Extreme rotation of levers can cause bike instability, excessive wrist/elbow angles, which can cause excessive triceps fatigue and/or numbness to wrist and hands and even tightness in neck and shoulders
